This hand crafted Babynest is ready-made, and ready-to-go. In a gorgeous deep blush pink pure linen. The trim is also made from scratch, making sure it all matches perfectly – adding to the time invested into creating this luxurious linen Babynest.
This handmade Babynest features a simplistic monotone design in a pure linen. Even the binding is made by hand, which is a very labour intensive process, using extra fabric and an input of extra time and effort into this Babynest…the beauty is in the details! Hollowfibre fill, removable satin ribbon, and adjustable drawstring with removable cord stopper. Fully reversible, so any side can be used. This is a complete product, meaning the mattress is quilted into place, and there is no removable cover. The entire Babynest goes into the washing machine, for easy cleaning and thorough hygiene.
Why Linen is different, and in some cases, better than cotton?
Linen is very strong and absorbent and dries faster than cotton. Because of these properties, linen is comfortable against skin, and breathable. Linen also happens to be 30% stronger than cotton and happens to last a lot longer, we’re talking years longer here, and tend to improve with age.
Why is linen more expensive than cotton?
Linen fabric has been used for table coverings, bed coverings and clothing for centuries. It is one of the world’s oldest fabrics. The significant cost of linen derives not only from the difficulty of working with the thread but also because the flax plant itself requires a great deal of attention. In addition, flax thread is not elastic, and therefore it is difficult to weave without breaking threads. Thus linen is considerably more expensive to manufacture than cotton. Linen is a more luxurious option, and a great investment when it comes to longevity and a quality product.
A Babynest is a Scandinavian-inspired cozy, cushioned pod designed to mimic the snug environment of a mother’s womb. It provides a comfortable space for babies to nap, rest, play, or lounge in. It can be used from birth, right up to 12 months old.
Our Babynests feature adjustable sides to accommodate a growing baby and opens up at the bottom for when baby grows taller, while still providing your growing baby with the sense of security and a snug feeling. They’re lightweight and portable, making it convenient for parents, allowing them to keep their little one close by whether at home or on the go.
It has multiple uses that include the following:
+ It can be used as a crib or cot insert, making the open space more snug for baby.
+ It can help ease transition from the swing crib / moses basket into the bigger cot / cotbed, by making the big open unfamiliar space seem smaller and more snug, as well as the familiar smell and comfort of the babynest helping baby feel more at home.
+ The babynest is a great for co-sleeping, keeping baby close and secure.
+ It is ideal as a daytime napper as you can take baby with you around the house while you can get on with your tasks, knowing baby is safe and secure.
+ It is great for using the rolled edge to practice the much-needed important tummy-time.
+ Light and foldable, making it convenient for taking with when travelling or visiting friends and family.

Safety Standards:
Right now, there are no official EU safety standards specifically for handmade babynests like there are for toys, cots, or car seats. But the law does require that any handmade baby item must be made with safety in mind and must include clear safety warnings.
I take this responsibility very seriously. Each babynest is carefully made using baby-safe materials. All seams are double-stitched for extra strength, and I thoroughly check every babynest before sending it out.
It’s important that you always use good judgment when using a babynest. I cannot be responsible if the product is not used correctly. If you ever have questions or worries, please contact me—I’m happy to help and give advice on how to use and care for your babynest safely.
Important Safety Guidelines:
+ Always supervise your baby while using the babynest.
+ Always position your baby with their head at the top of the Babynest – drawstring cords at their feet end.
+ Remove the cord stopper and satin ribbon as soon as your baby can reach them.
+ Keep the nest clear—do not crowd with blankets, toys, pillows, or duvets. These can be dangerous.
+ Never carry your baby in the babynest, and never place it on high or uneven surfaces.
+ If co-sleeping, keep the babynest at eye level, and do not cover your baby with your own duvet.
+ When the babynest is fully opened and the bottom is open, always make sure the cords are pulled in safely – if the remaining cord is longer than 5cm, cut it shorter and tie a knot at the end.
+ This product is not a toy — please don’t let your child play with it.
+ Always follow safe sleep guidelines as recommended to help prevent SIDS.
+ Dispose of packaging safely, and keep all packaging out of reach of children.
+ Keep away from open flames or heaters. Fire safety is very important.
